About the Author(s)

Mary K. Nixon, M.D., FRCPC, is Course Director at the University of Victoria Island Medical Program. Her teaching experience has included problem based tutorials, clinical teaching with medical students and residents, and research mentorship. Dr. Nixon is also the Editor of the Canadian Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Review.

Nancy L. Heath, Ph.D., is Professor and Director of the Special Populations/Inclusive Education Program at McGill University. She was appointed as a Fellow in the International Academy for Research in Learning Disabilities in 2001 and is currently the Editor of the Academy's Newsletter.
